The Order of the Elks is a benevolent organization, not a social or business club. It is dedicated to our communities and our Country. The Fraternal Order of Elks was founded "To promote and practice the four cardinal virtues Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity." We seek to promote the welfare and enhance the happiness of our members; to quicken the spirit of American Patriotism, and cultivate good fellowship. The various phases of our work consists of Veterans Services, Texas Elks Camp for Special Needs, and Foster Children, the Hoop Shoot, Drug Awareness, and promoting of Americanism to name a few.

Membership Information
The Elks are a non-political, non-sectarian, American organization; to be eligible for membership in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, you must be a citizen of the United States, at least 21 years of age, believe in God, and be sponsored by an Elks member in good standing. Our Story
The San Antonio Elks Lodge was granted its charter by Grand Lodge of Elks in November of 1892. Since that time, the Lodge has been a stable part of the San Antonio community. For over 130 years, the San Antonio Elks Lodge 216 has continued to support Veterans, Children with special needs, and Youth activities. We give back to our community donating over $5.2 million to these programs. The current lodge offers its members and guests a place to gather for fellowship and enjoy events, dinners, a full bar, RV Park, and facility rentals opportunities.
